Setting up Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) makes your account more secure by using two ways to prove it's really you. Besides your password, you'll also need a special code from an Authenticator app on your phone. Follow these easy steps to start using 2FA on our platform:
  1. Download an Authenticator App: Get a free authenticator app from your phone's app store. Some popular choices are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Authy. Install the app you like best.
  1. Google Authenticator: App Store
  2. Google Authenticator: Google Play
  3. Microsoft Authenticator: App Store
  4. Microsoft Authenticator: Google Play
  5. Authy: App Store
  6. Authy: Google Play
  1. Turn on 2FA in Account Settings: Find the option for Two-Factor Authentication in your account settings ("Profile & Settings" > "Profile"). Click the "Enable" button.
  2. Scan the QR Code: Our platform will show you a QR code. Open your Authenticator app, tap the plus (+) button, and choose "Scan barcode" or "Scan QR code." Point your camera at the code on the screen. The app will then make a unique code for our platform.
  3. Connect the Authenticator App: Type the code from your Authenticator app into Affluent under the QR code. The code changes every 30 seconds, so make sure it's the current one. If the code is valid, Affluent will show a success message and you'll be all set up.
  4. Use Unique Codes: Next time you sign in to Affluent, the login page will ask for a unique code. Enter the code that your Authenticator app displays for Affluent to get in.
