Contact Manager - Upload Contacts

Upload and edit your contacts in bulk using the contact manager

This article provides detailed instructions on how to update existing contacts or add new contacts to your Organizations.

Steps

1. Download the Existing Contacts File

  • Click the Upload Contacts button at the top right of the Organizations page

  • Click on the Download Excel button to download the current list of contacts.

2. Edit the Contacts File

  • Open the downloaded Excel file in your preferred spreadsheet application.
  • Editing Existing Contacts: Modify the information for existing contacts without changing certain protected fields (explained below).
  • Adding New Contacts: Add new rows following the same format as existing contacts. Be sure to fill in the Organization ID, First Name, Last Name, and Email. You can get the Organization ID from the Organizations tab. 

Guidelines for Editing and Adding Contacts:

  • Protected Columns: Do not modify columns A, B, and C (Organization ID, Organization Name, Organization Type). Any changes to these fields will be ignored.
  • Required Fields: Ensure each new or edited contact has a First Name, Last Name, and a unique Email.
  • Unique Emails: Each contact's email address must be unique within the same organization to avoid duplicates.
  • Adding Contacts for New Organizations: For organizations without any existing contacts, include Organization ID, Name, and Type from the Organization tab to create new entries.

3. Upload the Updated File

  • Once you have finished editing, save the file.
  • Return to the Upload Contacts section and drag and drop the file into the upload area or use the Browse button.
