Metric Variants

Overview

Some metrics have multiple variants. The metric variants available depend on the type of metric and whether or not targets have been uploaded.

Most metric variants are not compatible with comparison mode

  • Sum - the total for the selected date range.

  • Previous Period - the total amount for the same period prior (e.g. if the date range is set to last month for July, the previous period will show data for June). This is compatible with fiscal calendars.

  • Previous Year - the total amount for the same period the previous year. This compares dates not days (i.e. the data shown will be for the same exact dates, not the matching weekdays). This is compatible with fiscal calendars. If you are showing data for fiscal March this year, the previous year variant will show you data for fiscal March last year (as long as the fiscal calendar was uploaded for last year).

  • Trend - the percentage increase or decrease compared the previous period. This is compatible with fiscal calendars.

  • YoY Trend - the percentage increase or decrease compared the same period of time for previous year. This is compatible with fiscal calendars.

  • Average - the daily average. Calculated as the total for the period (sum) divided by the number of days in the range.

  • Target - data will only show if you have uploaded targets for the given period in the Targets section of Affluent. Compatible with fiscal calendars.

  • Target % - amount of the target that has been achieved so far. For example, if you have a Target for the month of $100,000 and you have made $80,000 so far, this variant will show 80% - the percentage of the total that has been reported so far.

  • % of Total - the percent of the total the value is. For example if the category is Publisher and the metric is "Revenue - % of Total", each row will show you what percentage of the total revenue that publisher is driving.

  • Forecast - the performance forecast for the week (in week grouping) or for the month (in month grouping). If date is not a selected category, the forecast will show the forecast for the current month. Forecasts are only compatible with the current week or month (depending on the grouping). Forecasts will not show for past months or months beyond the current month.
