Network Nuances - Things to note before connecting

Adding accounts in the Brand Manager is easy. Some networks have nuances that you should be aware of before connecting the accounts. The Brand Manager is the foundation of all your data in Affluent so making sure accounts are connected correctly in the first place is important.

ShareASale

ShareASale : To connect a ShareASale account the program must have 2000 monthly API tokens and the IP settings must be updated to “match only for version 1.1 and lower”. Contact the SAS Support Team before adding the account to Affluent. For more information: How to Connect ShareASale

Impact

Impact does not report network commission, it is invoiced separately. Network commission can be added to Impact accounts using manual fees. Manual fees will be added automatically once a month.  For more information: How to connect Impact

Rakuten Marketing (Linkshare)

Rakuten Marketing (Linkshare) does not report network commission in its API. If you'd like to add a network commission for an account, it must be added when the account is first connected to Affluent. If you add it after the initial connection, please contact support@affluent.io.  For more information: How to connect Rakuten Marketing (Linkshare)

When you add a Rakuten account to Affluent make sure to select the timezone in which you usually pull your reports. The standard timezone for all accounts in GMT (to use another timezone you have to manually change this in the Rakuten UI).

AWIN

Affluent requires the timezone that the AWIN account was set up in, this cannot be found in the AWIN UI. Please contact AWIN to find out the account's timezone before connecting the account to Affluent. If you find out the time after connecting the account please contact support@affluent.io

AWIN does not report network commission in its API. If you'd like to add a network commission for an account, it must be added when the account is first connected to Affluent. If you add it after the initial connection, please contact support@affluent.io.  For more information: How to connect AWIN

AWIN click data is only available via the AWIN API from 2017 forward.  Sales data is available prior to 2017, however click data is not.  Since the AWIN click data is not available within the AWIN API, you will not see click data prior to 2017 within Affluent.

Everflow

Everflow uses multiple different databases to store data. When comparing summary reports from Everflow, such as the Offer, Partner or Advertiser Reports to Affluent, you may sometimes see clicks differing by a few numbers. This is because Everflow pulls the summary data from a separate internal database that slightly differs from the database that stores clicks - where Affluent is retrieving the click data.
